'Tunbridge Wells Rocks' exhibition

The High Weald sand rocks have fascinated residents and visitors for over 6000 years. They have provided an unchanging backdrop for a story that stretches from prehistoric hunter-gatherers, through Georgian and Victorian holidaymakers, to the present day. This exhibition uses historic images and objects from the Museum collection, along with newly commissioned art work, to explore how generations of people have responded to the rocks as places of wonder and mystery.

The show has been supported by funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund as part of the Weald Forest Ridge Landscape Partnership Scheme.
